Heart Land Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation

 MISSION STATEMENT

Heart Land Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation is committed to helping abused, neglected and starved horses. We strive to:

• Provide rescue and rehabilitation services to horses in need.

• Provide sanctuary and retraining of OTTB's, Premarin and slaughter bound horses.
• Provide adoption services, with preference to pony clubbers, 4-Hers and therapeutic agencies.
• Assist local law and animal agencies.
• Educate the public about care, feeding and humane training of horses.
• Provide necessary resources for unwanted horses.

ADOPTIONS

Our adoption program provides for rehabilitated horses to be adopted into new loving homes.

Some horses are not sound enough to be ridden and can only be adopted as companion animals.

Potential adopters will be screened and will undergo training to ensure a successful partnership.

AND...Congratulations Calvin on your amazing Derby win riding Mine The Bird! WOW! What a weekend it has been! You are a class act!

And Congratulations AGAIN to Calvin and Rachel Alexandra, making history by becoming the first filly to win the Preakness since 1924!!

Calvin made history again! Third place finish in the 2009 Belmont aboard Mine That Bird! We are very proud of Calvin!
